Pedro Reyes x Creative Time: Doomocracy

As a part of our ongoing commitment to support the arts community, we are thrilled to support Creative Time in their collaboration with the artist Pedro Reyes, for his ambitious installation, Doomocracy. The exhibition opened October 7th and fittingly closes two days before the election on November 6th.

 

Doomocracy is a politically-themed haunted house which capitalizes on the fears springing from the current election climate. The exhibition is immersive and forces its participants to confront consequences of climate change, pandemic gun violence, GMOs, and other hot button political issues.

 

The installation covers a large swath of the Brooklyn Army Terminal, whose massive scale and cement architecture lends itself perfectly to this dystopian experience. Doomocracy is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween and grapple with election anxieties.
