Associate Project Manager, New York City

UOVO, the premier storage and services provider for art, fashion, and cultural artifacts, seeks an Associate Project Manager to join its dynamic and growing team.

The Associate Project Manager will report to the Senior Project Manager and is responsible for supporting all tenant and warehouse racking fit outs for UOVO. This includes but is not limited to designing racking, signage, creating floor plans, ordering furniture, getting estimates, and creating bid sheets. The Associate Project Manager will work with clients to assess their needs and to create custom solutions that best fit their collections, as well as devise storage solutions for UOVO’s internal needs. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience managing design projects with a focus on space planning and/or warehouse design.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • In conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, assist with the design and execution of racking plans for tenants within their storage spaces. This may include denoting workspaces, custom solutions, outlets, etc.
  • Maintain accurate files related to as-built conditions within UOVO’s spaces in support of sales plans and other needs.
  • Create detailed elevations for tenant and internal fit outs
  • Create parts list for bidding out projects
  • Schedule and manage vendors who are on site for racking fit outs; coordinate with all internal stakeholders as needed and ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Proactively communicate installation schedules to external and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with Operations to design storage solutions for UOVO’s internal needs, ensuring maximum efficiency.
  • Assist with designing and procuring furniture and applicable fixtures for new UOVO development projects. Field measure rooms and racking for new and existing build outs
  • Maintain an inventory of in-house racking parts
  • Research new methods and materials for art storage and any other applications relevant to UOVO’s core business
  • Other projects as assigned by Manager

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Pro-active and solution-oriented with the ability to think creatively
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple projects
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or similar drafting program
  • Proficiency or experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel
  • Poise in a fast-paced business environment
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively across different departments.
